Focusing on excellence in product innovation and training, Environmental Enterprises is a sister company to UK Flood Barriers. It is the only privately owned company in the UK to have its own unique BSI approved testing facility.

Environmental Enterprises has a specialist remit to innovate and undertake research and development into new products and systems that will have the potential to advance and improve flood defences throughout the world.

We understand that on-going product design and development are crucial factors in building business success and we are committed to continuous improvement in our product ranges, driven by the challenge to find more sophisticated and creative ways to improve the lives of our customers by minimising the potentially disastrous consequences of flooding.

In-house development

At Environmental Enterprises we have made a significant investment in our R & D facility, helping us to meet the challenge of providing the next generation of flood protection. Our test rig facility has been expanded to 85,000 litres enabling us to test products in flood simulated conditions at depths of up to I metre, with wave simulation and water speeds in excess of 1.5 metres/second.

Four Flood Angel products have been accredited to BSI standard PAS 1188-1:2009.

As an approved BSI test facility we are able to assist entrepreneurs to progress the development of their innovative flood defence products at every stage, from prototype to a successfully tested final product.

Training

Environmental Enterprises has developed a centre for excellence in training. We have amassed an enormous reserve of information about flooding, its causes, its impact on lives and its devastating effect on assets and vital infrastructure. We have a detailed market understanding of what is available to mitigate against flood and our remit is to share this with you.

Public open days

We help members of the public and flood action groups to better understand how water enters a building. By running open days and awareness sessions, we are able to help people to identify the areas of a property that need protecting and introduce them to products that can address this.
